CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION

The CLE Committee coordinates the MAIBA-sponsored continuing legal education conference, which is held annually.  Please direct all inquiries regarding this committee to committee chairs Reid Raymond and Philomena Kebec.

STUDENT RECRUITMENT

The Student Recruitment Committee was established to address the issues faced by American Indian Students applying to law school.  MAIBA is concerned about the decline in American Indian student enrollment in law school and has developed this committee to coordinate with schools, students, and potential students to encourage the application and enrollment of American Indian students.  Please direct all inquiries regarding this committee to committee chair Lenny Fineday.

SCHOLARSHIP

STUDENT RELATIONS

The Student Relations Committee is MAIBA's formal connection to American Indian law students and to non-Indian law students interested in Indian law.  Each fall, the Student Relations Committee organizes a reception for those students at one of the three area law schools.  Please direct all inquiries regarding this committee to committee chair Colette Routel.

SOCIAL EVENTS

The Social Events Committee is charged with promoting camaraderie among members through fun and productive events.  The committee plans quartlery social events, with the goal of strengthening ties among members.  Please direct all inquiries regarding this committee to committee chair Lenny Fineday.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Golf Tournament Committee is charged with planning and promoting MAIBA's annual summer golf tournament as a fundraiser for its law student scholarship program.  Please direct all inquiries regarding this committee to committee chairs Leah Sixkiller and Michelle Carter.
